Dr.Arkaprovo Roy has a distinct fascination for the laparoscopic Surgical procedure, Gastrointestinal Surgical procedure and Oncosurgery, hepatobiliary Surgery and Trauma Surgery.
Dr.Arkaprovo Roy is a partner educator in clinical school, Kolkata from 22.09.2018 to date.
He was an Observer in the liver transplant Team in Fortis Noida from 02.06.2014 to 31.08.2014.
He got his schooling from Hindu School, one of the oldest schools in India.
He effectively finished his M.B.B.S from Calcutta National Medical College in August 2002.
After finishing his internship in August 2003, he began a house job all in all General Surgery from September 2003 to August 2004 in Calcutta National Medical College.
He pursued post-graduation in General Surgery from 2007 to 2010 in R.G.Kar Medical College, He was then worked as a senior resident in the same department and institution for the next 7 months. Kolkata. Dr.Arkaprovo Roy exhibited poster in “ASICON 2008”, “SASICON 2009 &2010”.
He turned out to be first in Surgiquiz in “SASICME 2009” alongside Dr Parthasarathi Ghosh.
Dr.Arkaprovo Roy displayed papers in “ASICON 2008 &2009”.He is the beneficiary of the “Godrej Kadai certificate” from the ASI West Bengal state section.
He was RMO cum clinical Tutor in Calcutta National Medical College in general Surgery from 21.01.2011 to 19.01.2012.
He was transferred to a new Medical College in Malda as Assistant Professor in January 2012 and came to Medical College, Kolkata in September, 2018 as Associate Professor.
He was organizing treasurer of SASICME 2019, held in Medical College, Kolkata and programme coordinator in SASICME 2020, held online.
He is both an undergraduate and postgraduate teacher of Surgery and also has the experience of conducting as an internal examiner in University examinations.
He was the scientific programme co ordinator of SASICON 2021 and 2022 and SASICME 2021 and 2022
